Such people live in rented houses in cities, in which they have to pay money to the landlord every month to live in this house. It has been seen many times that there is a dispute between the tenant and the landlord regarding many things, and this dispute often escalates to a great extent. In such a situation, every tenant must keep some things in mind before taking a house on rent. Today we are going to tell you five such things.
1. Before taking a house on rent, check it thoroughly, first check that there is no dampness or any such problem in the house. Apart from this, also check the arrangement of water and other things in the house, also see whether the electricity supply is being done properly or not.
2. Do meet the landlord, do not make advance payment only on the advice of the broker. Meet the landlord and listen to all his conditions, talk about what things will be prohibited to you while living on rent.
3. Usually, when the electricity bill comes after renting a house, there is a lot of confusion or dispute regarding it, in such a situation you should keep it clear in advance. Which meter is installed in your flat, how much will be charged per unit and who will pay the bill… keep all these things in mind.
4. While taking a house on rent, make sure to get a rent agreement made. Read all the things written in the agreement carefully and get the landlord’s signature on it. Whatever you feel is important, get it written in the agreement.
5. Keep in mind that the landlord cannot evict you immediately, you will have to give at least one month’s notice. The landlord can never enter the rented flat without your approval.
